No, you shouldn’t be “over it” even though people like to tell you that. Time DOES NOT heal all wounds and healing often does not happen in a one-time event. Sometimes it takes a radical reboot to truly “move on”. Past painful events or old injustices have a way of keeping us stuck or unable to move forward. Our childhood experiences shape our bodies and minds and set the stage for how we relate to others and ourselves. The good news is that we can heal, change, grow, reorganize, and recover physiologically through healing our nervous systems. You deserve to sleep well, feel calm in your body and mind, and get moving again. We can do the work to promote neuroplasticity where the brain can be rewired to respond differently. Just talking about what happened is not enough some of the time. We have to do something about it. That’s where EMDR and Somatic Experiencing are often helpful as body-based approaches. Let me help you move past whatever it is that is holding you back. I am here with the goal of helping you minimize your pain and discomfort in whatever form that shows up, supporting unconscious patterns to surface, and promoting personal growth so you can live your life as the best version of you.

I have a special interest and self study in depth psychology, transpersonal psychology, and Jungian psychology. These concepts can be applied when appropriate to a client’s worldview.

I am holding space for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and am familiar with the needs of those exploring gender identity and I can support you in making an informed decision about your gender expression and/or transition. I offer safe and effective pathways to achieving lasting personal comfort, psychological well-being, and self-fulfillment because this is a matter of diversity, not pathology. I also work with individuals in non-normative relationship structures, non-monogamy and polyamory, kinksters, those exploring sexual orientation and sexual self-concept, and anyone seeking to build better skills around consent, communication, and boundaries.
